This is also a common story, but I love it so.

In a class of 3rd-graders, the teacher asked everyone to try to list the 7 wonders of the world. The students went right to work. “No one’s going to get them all right teacher!” One whined. The teacher smiled and instructed everyone to try their best. “I got 3!” One said triumphantly. “I gots 4!” said another one.

Then, a small voice said above the rest, “I have 7, teacher.” The teacher turned to the little girl, surprised. “Let me see what you have wrote.” she inquired.

The little girl read her list out loud with a small smile.

“To me, the 7 wonders of the world are:

7. to touch
6. to taste
5. to see
4. to hear
3. to feel
2. to laugh
1. and to love”
